Who can Volunteer?
The Australian Bureau of Statistics in a recent survey indicated that about one in three people over the age of 15 years volunteer around 4.5 hours each week.
From this we can conclude that the idea of volunteering is well-known and most Australians are generous. They really feel concern for their neighbours.
What about Overseas?
Australians have a proven record of distinguished service in developing countries.
Each year hundreds of people go to many countries, often for years, and do remarkable work.
Why short term?
Many people do not have the time or the opportunity to work overseas for 6 months or more.
Also they can contribute in a significant way, especially if they have an expertise which is not available in developing countries.
The MSC Mission Office began in June 1998, and since then over 35 people have availed themselves of the short tertn Missionary experience with us.
