Greetings from Melbourne, from someone who is very much a friend of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. I have been associated with the MSC for over 50 years. So when my grand-daughter didn’t know where to give the money, I thought of your work. Father Ye l d s keeps me informed about his work. Must not bore you — I wish you all the Best, and may the Sacred Heart reward you for all your Missionary work .

These pumps are one horse-power electric powered pumps. They produce around 600 litres of water a minute, and with filters added on they can produce clean running water for drinking. I hope they can be of use in one of these countries to help these people.

I want to thank you for your generosity when I was leaving Australia to return to PNG earlier in the year. Overloaded with the books and rosaries you had given, you also added extra cash which well and truly covered the cost of any excess baggage that I had. From what was over, I have been able to use for school fees for the many who have come to our Office for assistance. It is such a blessing not to have to turn people away empty handed, but rather to be able to relieve their problem, even if it is in only a small way. The Rosaries you gave me have filled the cracks in my travelling bags, and have been welcomed by all who have received them. They are great as prizes in the class, to break the ice and get the children talking. Again my sincere thanks

Greetings from Manus Island! I come again with a request, remembering how generously you helped us last year. And our need is still connected with water, the kind of need that you like to alleviate. At our Christ the King Secondary School here in Papitalai we have about 600 persons living on campus, and for them all, the water supply is of prime importance — as we all know when the pump breaks down!
We still need improvements to our system:
• the dam wall needs to be raised

• we need to build a lockable pump house at the
    water’s edge

• we need to check and improve the pipes carrying
   water throughout the campus

• as we are in an area of very heavy rainfall, there is
need for many drains and most of these need some
  improvement .
We intend to ask for as AESOP volunteer to come to our aid in this project, but we cannot ask for him until we are sure that we have money to fund it. Can you help us with $6,000.00?
May God Bless you and all your co-workers, and hoping for a favorable reply soon,
Sr Rita Torpey, FDNSC

Thank you very much for the Calendar. Apart from the beautiful artwork and the daily liturgy references, I very much like the format as my appointment diary. Of several calendars I usually receive, MSC is the one I use. I enclose authority for a small quarterly donation of $25 — sorry it can’t be more. Also, I apologize for last year’s donation — which you split three ways because I ticked all the tax deductible boxes. I thought you just put it all in the one bin .
Something a bit more substantial, but still pretty small, in my Will, provided my small assets outlive me. My trustees tell me that unfortunately that one will not be a tax deduction. God Bless, NW, Qld
